Fish in the Net

​Titus 1:5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:

The charge of the ministry of the gospel of Christ Jesus is, and always has been, to be fishers of men. That is rather than gathering followers to promote opinion and traditions, we are to seek out men that will be leaders and teachers of truth that live it as well as tell it.

Lord forgive us our desires of vainglory and pride. Use us to be planters of seeds and tillers of ground, that we may keep the garden that you have placed us in till you come. May young plants be tended and trimmed and much fruit be gathered to your glory, now and always in the Church, world without end. Amen.
